When making a recent app;lication for the renewal of our Passport we were told that all standard applications are processes in around a three week time period from the time of receiving the application form (please note that this will not include extra allowed time for potage and this can often effect the time at busy periods i.e bank holidays and Christmas periods. We would recommend this service as our results where swift and we received our passport within 2 weeks of our application.
We would recommend using the Check and Send service offered by many Post Offices as this is the method we choose to send our application, for more information on the check and send services available you can visit the post office website.
If you are travelling soon and need to renew your passport within a two week period, you will need to use the IPS Fast Track one week service or the Premium one day service at extra costs.
If you wish to make an appointment you must note that demand is obviously very high, therefore you should allow for anything up to 2 weeks in advance for booking your meeting with the Passport Office.
If you choose this method of service, the passport office can guarantee delivery of your new passport within one-week (please note that this is in terms of business days only)
This service is only applicable if:
• You hand in your completed form and supporting documents correctly
• You are available at the property to sign for delivery of the new passport
• Please note this service is not available if this is your first adult passport, as a collegue of ours was informed that he would have to attend an interview process as they will need identity details and a passport photo
