Newport Passport Office
The passport office in Newport is located in Mission Court, there are a few reasons why you would need to attend the Newport Passport Office the first is in relation to a first time passport interview where after applying via post you are asked to attend an in-person interview regarding your right to a British Passport. The second reason for attending the Newport Office in person is if you need an urgent passport service in order to aquire a new passport quickly for emergencies or urgent travel requirements, the different types of appointment available at Newport are as follows:

When Attending Appointments
If you wish to attend the Newport Office for an appointment you must first pre-book and pre-pay for your appointment either by phone or online. Since 2016 HM Passport Office requires all attended appointments to be paid for in advance, this is due to missed appointments and disruptions to the schedule prior to this change.
When applying either via post or in person the length of time your application will take will depend on the type of application and/or supporting documents required for your particular application type, you can refer to the guidebook which comes with the Post Office passport forms or online guides as to the supporting documents required for your application, however please note that if you do have a pre-booked appointment at the Passport Office in Newport you will need to ensure that you have both the completed application form and all relevant supporting documents with you on the day, failure to supply or provide incorrect documentation could result in you having to rebook and repay for another appointment for a later date.

The Newport Passport Office is open six days a week and their opening times are at the bottom of this website, and they are not open on Sundays for appointments, however the HM Passport Office adviceline is available 7 days a week for booking of appointments and advice.
Newport Passport Office does offer disable/wheelchair access if you require any assistance at the Newport Passport Office please make the office aware when making your appointment alternatively please speak to a member of staff upon arrival.
You can travel by train, the station also has taxi ranks at the main entrance of the station on Queensway however the train station is an average walk of 7 minutes from the station to Newport Passport Office.
If you are travelling by car please check your parking options in advance. Being on time for your appointment is vital. There are several options for parking near to The Passport Office, there is some limited street parking, but these spaces are taken very quickly.
